Royi Akavia, Founder, President and Chief Creative Director: Royi founded the original Little Director site in late 2005 and has been involved in all of its creative development. He spearheaded
the design and implementation of Little Director’s re-launch in 2008, and has been actively involved in the creative development of the Company’s virtual world. Royi studied under Salvatore Dali, theworld renowned surrealist painter. His work has been displayed in several art museums and galleries throughout the world, including the Guggenheim in New York. He was chosen by the Archdiocese of New York to paint the third rendition of “Christ and the Jubilee,” that was originally painted by the famous renaissance artist Rafael. His painting was presented to His Holiness Pope John Paul II to commemorate the coming of the new millennium. Royi immediately followed up on this endeavor with a painting of Pope John Paul II for the Archdiocese. On a lighter note he was the art director and set designer for MTV Europe that among other projects included the MTV Beach House in Holland. In 1997 he was the Set Designer for the MTV Latino Emmy Awards program. Royi was also one of eight artists commissioned to paint an 8’x 4’ canvas that was featured at Woodstock ’99. Kidz 2000, a noted anti-child abuse non-profit organization commissioned him to paint a portrait of popular rock music artist Lenny Kravitz. Together with Wendi Lee, Royi created the futuristic cartoon animation “Cydonia”. In addition, he was appointed official corporate artist for WesternUnion’s ambitious Y2K painting project.
